The arts are a defining element of what makes humans, well, Human. Why is it, then, that they fall by the wayside when it comes to our students’ and educators’ experiences? This webinar offered both “big ideas” as well as practical strategies for considering music, visual art, dance, and theatre (among other creative endeavors and behaviors) as core learning experiences to foster and reinforce creativity, deepen learning, and build human connections in classrooms and schools.
About the presenter
Benjamin Lacina currently serves as the Talent Development and Advanced Academics Coordinator for South Washington County (SoWashCo) Schools in Minnesota. With more than 20 years in public education, Ben’s work has centered around arts education and gifted and talented/talent development in both urban and suburban school districts. Ben has degrees in Vocal Music Education, Gifted Education & Talent Development, and Educational Leadership.
