Monday, May 20, 2024, 10:15 – 11:15 am, Lawrence D. McHugh Hall, Room MCHU 202
This research study uses a qualitative thematic analysis to determine the effect of high-quality teacher training in five Western North Carolina school districts on the nature and needs of the gifted and talented population. Furthermore, it discusses providing research-based, rigorous interventions (self-regulation, goal setting, and differentiation) to combat student underachievement and help these students reach their full potential through proper holistic interventions and support.
