HYBRID POSITION GOALS:
A) K-5 GIFTED & TALENTED SERVICES TEACHER (approx. 50%) GOAL
To provide curricular and instructional modifications to students demonstrating gifted behaviors as per the district’s continuum of services; progress monitor student performance and growth; assist classroom teachers with differentiation and instructional strategies for students exhibiting gifted behaviors;
AND
B) LIBRARY/ MEDIA SPECIALIST (approx. 50%) GOAL
To assist teachers and students in the effective use of the media center and information technology as a learning resource to support the school’s curriculum and to develop students’ technology and information literacy skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A) K-5 GIFTED & TALENTED SERVICES TEACHER (Approx. 50%)

1. New Jersey Instructional Certificate or eligibility
2. Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities
3. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

AND/ OR
B) LIBRARY MEDIA SPECIALIST (Approx. 50%)

1. Valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate and School Library Media Specialist Endorsement
2. Minimum experience as determined by the board: 3 years
3. Demonstrated ability related to collection development, information technology, research methodology and library program designs for children and adolescents
4. Effective problem-solving, human relations, and communication skills
